贊曰：下明化身隨眾生身及意樂故現有起滅。有三：一標；二釋；三成，「是故如來以方便說」下是。此初也。然今報身非實滅度，便虛唱言當取滅度，此乃化相方便示現化眾生爾。

Eulogy: Below, it clarifies that the transformation-body manifests arising and cessation in accordance with the bodies and inclinations of sentient beings. There are three parts: first, stating the premise; second, explaining it; third, concluding it, which is from 'Therefore, the Tathāgata by expedient means speaks' onward. This is the first part. Yet now, the reward-body does not truly pass into extinction, but falsely proclaims, 'I shall take extinction.' This is merely an expedient display of transformation marks to transform sentient beings.
