The Commentary says: The seventh is the parable of preaching the Dharma in accordance with capacities. There are two parts: first, seeking wondrous and skillful prescriptions; second, providing teachings of expedient skill. Relying on the doctrinal texts and prescriptions of the buddhas of the three times, he internally seeks the medicine of fine principles and seeks the herbs of fine practices. The trainings in morality, concentration, and wisdom are called color, fragrance, and fine taste. Alternatively, putting an end to evil, applying oneself to good, and benefiting sentient beings—with none of these three dharmas lacking, it is called "all complete." They correspond in order. Discerning through wisdom corresponds to "pounding"; winnowing the coarse and fine corresponds to "sieving." Causing the preceding three trainings and three practices to be practiced in accord with one another is called "blending." For the student, delusions are destroyed, and he is urged to take and practice it.
