贊曰：十令悕示滅喻。有三：初念設權方，次教留遺法，後示言入滅。此初也。煩惱深故妙教不遵，應設權方令其脩服。

The Commentary says: The tenth is the parable of manifesting extinction to arouse longing. There are three parts: first, considering the establishment of an expedient device; second, instructing the bequest of his legacy; third, declaring his entry into extinction. This is the first. Because their afflictions are deep, they do not obey the wondrous teaching; he must devise an expedient device to cause them to cultivate and ingest it.
