贊曰：下五頌有緣得見。為二：初二頌待生根熟有緣，後三頌現身說法。此初也。有七緣根熟：一修供養行，二生渴仰心，三信伏不謗修行，四質直離憍渴等，五柔軟慈悲堪耐，六一心欲見專念希逢，七不惜身命輕身重道。

The Commentary says: The following five verses concern being seen when there are conditions. They form two parts: first, two verses awaiting sentient beings whose faculties are mature and who have conditions; second, three verses on manifesting the body and preaching the Dharma. This is the first. There are seven conditions for faculties to be mature: first, cultivating offerings; second, giving rise to yearning; third, having faithful submission without slandering and cultivating practice; fourth, being straightforward and free from arrogance, thirst, and the like; fifth, being pliant, compassionate, and patient; sixth, single-mindedly desiring to see [the Buddha] with focused mindfulness, aspiring to encounter him; seventh, not begrudging body and life, holding the body lightly and valuing the Way.
