贊曰：下龍女現。有四：一龍女現讚，二鶖子申疑，三龍女道成，四時眾獲益。此初。有二：初現已歸敬，後以頌讚歎。三頌半中，初二半讚，後一申誠。此諷誦偈。

The Commentary says: Next the dragon girl appears. There are four parts: first, the dragon girl appears and praises; second, Śāriputra states his doubt; third, the dragon girl accomplishes the path; fourth, the assembly of the time obtains benefits. This is the first. It has two parts: first, having appeared, she pays refuge and homage; thereafter, she praises with verses. Among the three and a half verses, the first two and a half are praise, and the last one states her sincerity. These are chanting verses (geya).
