Commentary: In explaining the text of the sūtra at the outset, it is analyzed in brief through six headings: first, recounting the intention behind the sūtra's origination; second, clarifying the main theme of the sūtra; third, explaining the derivation of the names of the sūtra's chapters; fourth, revealing the rejection and establishment of the sūtra's chapters; fifth, demonstrating the sequence of the chapters; sixth, interpreting the primary text of the sūtra.
