Second is revealing the provisional and the real. As stated in the *Buddhabhūmi-sūtra-śāstra*, in a pure or defiled land of a transformation buddha in one location, the śrāvakas and others are real, while the bodhisattvas are provisional; whereas in a reward land, the bodhisattvas are real, while the śrāvakas and others are provisional. Now, here both transformation and reward are present, and accordingly there are two real and two provisional. First, at Mount Gṛdhrakūṭa with the transformation buddha, the bodhisattvas among them are provisional; when sentient beings see that at the end of the kalpa the pure land is constantly secure and the lifespan is boundless, the śrāvakas and other assemblies in the reward body and reward land are not real. Moreover, Prabhūtaratna and the emanations are all transformation manifestations; based on this, it is known that the principles of reward and transformation, provisional and real, are clearly displayed. In the treatise, it is already stated that there are transformation śrāvakas, Pūrṇa Maitrāyaṇīputra and others being examples; the remaining transformation assemblies are Prabhūtaratna, the emanated bodies, and so forth.
