The Eulogy says: This clarifies: 'I, too, by this ritual method, am just like this.' Because only the Buddha possesses the power of knowledge of varied inclinations (adhimukti-jñāna-bala), he knows the varied desires of all sentient beings. Because he possesses the power of knowledge of paths leading everywhere (sarvatragāminīpratipaj-jñāna-bala), he knows what their deep minds are attached to—'attached' refers to what they take delight in and attach to, and what they cultivate; or it is the attachment arisen from desires, namely, the attachments sentient beings have everywhere, from which he leads them out—these are thus all known by the power of knowledge of varied inclinations. Because he possesses the power of knowledge of varied elements/realms (nānādhātu-jñāna-bala), he knows their fundamental nature. Having known the realms, desires, and cultivation of their indeterminate lineages, he initially taught the three vehicles as an expedient means, and now teaches the Single Vehicle as the ultimate, all for the sake of sentient beings attaining the one buddha-vehicle and omniscience. The previous text in every case stated 'attaining the one buddha-vehicle and omniscience'; hence we know that omniscience is precisely the one buddha-vehicle.
