"Burning and oppressing the body and mind is compared to fire; ignorant harming and injuring is compared to insects and demons. Desiring to cause terror and deepen revulsion, various metaphors are used. Consciousness is what is relied upon, compared to the mansion; afflictions arise relying [upon it], hence compared to fire and insects. The four aggregates are all that which relies [upon it], hence it is said that they collapse and fall on account of the fire, without saying that the insects and demons also wander relying on the fire."
