The Commentary says: The fourth is forthwith attaining the noble stage. In the text there is only the stage of no-learning (aśaikṣa), gradually causing him to enter and exit, and also displaying the path of cultivation. For twenty years constantly having him remove dung is called managing the household affairs. After this had passed, their minds trusted each other, and entering and exiting was without difficulty; yet the place where he stayed was still in his original location, implicitly revealing the path of seeing and calling him ‘son.’ This is because the text is abridged.
