辟支佛果此會定無，經但說有求緣覺故；定性聲聞雖不生，為有亦無妨，令成不愚法故。又設聞雖信，既不迴心又損驚怖，無亦何爽。

The fruit of pratyekabuddha was definitely absent from this assembly, for the sūtra only speaks of those seeking to be pratyekabuddhas. Although the śrāvakas of determinate lineage were not born [for this teaching], there is no problem with their being present, in order to make them those who are not foolish regarding the Dharma. Furthermore, even if they heard and believed, since they do not turn the mind and also have the alarm and fear of diminution, their absence is also no mistake.
