利鈍異故。鶖子利根一聞尚解，菩薩更勝故即疑除，千二百鈍根故未能解。

Because of the difference between sharp and dull faculties. Śāriputra had sharp faculties and understood upon hearing it once; bodhisattvas are even more superior, so their doubts were immediately removed; the one thousand two hundred had dull faculties, and thus were not yet able to understand.
