《智度論》文隨他餘部故作是說。又釋，佛初在彼為五人說，後更重為阿難再說，云展轉聞。
The passage in the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa makes this statement in conformity with other schools. Another explanation is that the Buddha initially spoke it to the five persons there, and later repeated it again for Ānanda; hence it says, "heard indirectly."
