五明藥珠二身者，先明真應，直語證得，未涉利人，今明兩身俱能益物，真身破取相諭如藥，應身對萬機類於珠。就兩字明次第者，與慈悲相似也。

Fifth, clarifying the two bodies of medicine and jewel: previously, true and responsive were clarified solely in terms of realization, not yet touching upon benefiting others. Now we clarify that both bodies can benefit beings: the true body breaks attachment to marks and is likened to medicine; the responsive body meets the myriad capacities and is likened to a jewel. In clarifying their sequence according to the two words, it is similar to benevolence and compassion.
