Question: The ordinary is called the ordinary and deviant: good invites pleasure, while evil stimulates suffering. The sage is called correct: what is correct is neither good nor evil, neither suffering nor pleasure. How can the deviance of good and evil stimulate the correctness that is neither good nor evil? Answer: The correct sage, out of benevolence and compassion, eradicates their deviance of good and evil and causes them to enter the correctness that is neither good nor evil; therefore there is stimulus and response.
