Now, the dharma-dhātu is perfectly interfused, where images have no image; tathatā is pure, where transformation has no transformation. Although images have no image, there is nowhere that is not imaged; although transformation has no transformation, there is nowhere that is not transformed. Therefore, being nowhere present yet nowhere absent, he manifests responsive bodies across the nine paths, abides in existence without perpetual quiescence, and enters into the purport of non-duality. For this reason, by appealing through the three karmas, beings are blessed with release from the shores of suffering; through the four great vows, they are caused to partake of supreme bliss. Hence, in the Sahā world he receives the name of "Bestower of Fearlessness"; in the presence of the Buddha Ratnagarbha he received the title "Avalokiteśvara"; having already attained the seed-awareness, he is named "Saddharmaprabhāsa"; and being next in succession, he is called "Samantaprabhāsapuṇya." Such are his origin and traces—how could they ever be fathomed? Merely as an upāya in accord with conditions, a single name is provisionally raised.
