Second, from "Bodhisattvas..." downward, giving rise to benevolence and compassion, which has two parts: First, explaining according to the ten realms, having three parts: First, deeply contemplating the realms of good and evil, having two parts: First, the dharma. When a bodhisattva cultivates benevolence, in only a single thought they universally contemplate the ten realms: the cultivated good and evil are both identical to inherent inclusion, illuminating cultivation through the nature to exhaust the boundaries of good and evil. Second, from "Like seeing..." downward, the analogy. Second, from "Because of contemplating..." downward, broadly activating the mind of bestowing and relieving. Contemplating the causes and conditions of the seven dharmas in the nine realms, as well as the retributive effects of the two kinds of death born from them, as all identical to inherent virtue, they give rise to great compassion, wishing to relieve their suffering. Contemplating the causes and conditions of the seven dharmas in the Buddha realm, as well as the retributive effects of the two virtues born from them, as all identical to inherent virtue, they give rise to great benevolence, wishing to bestow their bliss.
