2.82

緊那羅者，天帝絲竹樂神，小不如乾闥婆，形似人而頭有角，亦呼為疑神，亦為人非人，今不取人非人，釋緊那羅，此乃是結八部數爾。

Kiṃnaras: the heavenly sovereign's string-and-wind music deities, slightly inferior to the gandharvas. Their forms resemble humans but their heads have horns; they are also called doubtful spirits, and also humans-non-humans. Now we do not take 'humans-non-humans' to explain kiṃnaras; this is merely concluding the count of the eight classes.
