宋慈雲尊者疏別行重頌，附大部入藏，而南方教苑不傳幾二百年矣。至元甲午，為教門入京，於燕城弘法寺得之東歸。猶至寶然，不敢自祕，遂鋟諸梓以惠來學大德。壬寅夏五興元住山苾芻性澄謹題

The separate commentary by Venerable Ciyun of the Song dynasty re-commenting on the verses was appended to the grand canon and entered into the Tripitaka, yet in the doctrinal circles of the south it was not transmitted for nearly two hundred years. In the jiawu year of the Zhiyuan era [1294 CE], going to the capital on behalf of the teaching, I obtained it at the Hongfa Monastery in the city of Yan and returned east with it. Cherishing it like a supreme treasure, I dared not keep it secret for myself, and thereupon carved it onto printing blocks to bestow upon future students and virtuous masters. Respectfully inscribed in the fifth summer month of the renyin year [1302 CE] by Bhikṣu Xingcheng, mountain dweller of Xingyuan.
