The commentary says: Below is the detailed explanation. Within it there are two: first, explaining separately; second, clarifying collectively. "Why is this?" arises from the question: since there are six in number, why are they signless? Transformation of the basis into suchness is called detachment from desire, because it is revealed through detachment from the desires of the three existences. Because the contemplative mind realizes the essence, it says "skillfully entering." Because there is no longer any exiting or entering, it is said that the mind is "constantly [pure]." Because it is free from the defilement of the three wheels, it is said to be "pure"; this is what was referred to above as "not relying on the three realms." Speaking in accord with the principle, it says "truthful speech." Skillfully guiding, it says "expedients." Although without effort, giving voice in response to capacities just like a divine drum—this is what it means. All sentient beings share only the single innate awakening; causing all sentient beings to return together to the one awakening, for this reason it says "benefiting others with original benefit"; this is called the world-transcending dāna-pāramitā.
