論曰：一品之內有三分中，前之二分竟在於前，此是大文第三時眾得益。得離心我者，證二空真如故。斷結盡漏者，斷見修二惑故。欲顯得入初地見道，正斷見惑兼斷修惑。義如彌勒所問論說，於中委悉在二障章也。

The commentary states: Of the three parts within this one chapter, the former two parts were completed above; this constitutes the third [part of the] general text, the assembly at that time obtaining benefit. 'Obtaining freedom from the mind-self' means witnessing the two emptinesses of thusness. 'Severing bonds and exhausting outflows' means severing the two defilements of view and cultivation. This is intended to reveal gaining entry into the path of seeing of the first stage, principally severing the defilements of view while concurrently severing the defilements of cultivation. The meaning is as expounded in the Maitreyaparipṛcchā-śāstra, and the details concerning it are found in the chapter on the two obscurations.
