1.65

論曰：此下第三問答。次前問答明所滅之見之病，今此問答顯能滅之見之藥。又前破生滅二際之見，今破有無二邊之見。今問意言：若觀行者順佛教意，觀法生時令滅何見？滅何見者，問佛教意，且舉一邊兼顯觀滅。

The commentary says: From here below is the third question and answer. The immediately preceding question and answer clarified the ailment of the view that is extinguished; the present question and answer reveals the medicine of the view that can extinguish. Furthermore, the previous [passage] shattered the views of the two limits of arising and cessation; the present [passage] shatters the views of the two extremes of existence and non-existence. The intent of the present question is: If a practitioner conforms to the intent of the Buddha's teaching, when contemplating the arising of dharmas, what view should they be made to extinguish? "What view should they be made to extinguish?" asks about the intent of the Buddha's teaching, provisionally raising one extreme while also revealing the contemplation of cessation.
