論曰：此下廣一覺義。於中有八問答，科為二分：前二問答正廣一覺如來藏義、後六問答因論生論遣諸疑難。今此初問，問心無住，若有學者即非無住，若無學者即非觀行。又若有學者應有心生，若無學者只是空理。

The commentary says: From here below broadens the meaning of the single awakening. In this there are eight questions and answers, classified into two divisions: the first two questions and answers properly broaden the meaning of the single awakening and the tathāgatagarbha; the latter six questions and answers, developing discourse based on discourse, dispatch various doubts and objections. Now, this first question asks about the mind having no abiding: if it is a trainee, then it is not without abiding; if it is an adept, then it is not contemplative practice. Furthermore, if it is a trainee, there should be an arising of mind; if it is an adept, it is merely empty principle.
