2.55

論曰：此下三頌非別頌文，但是總歎。於中有四：法、喻、合、結。此是第一法說，讚歎未說而今說者。雖前廣說，而今此經言略義豐、文省理詳，若斯之妙，未先說故。

The treatise states: The three verses below do not versify distinct passages, but are merely a general praise. In this there are four: doctrine, simile, application, and conclusion. This is the first, the doctrinal statement, praising that "explaining now what had not been explained." Although it was previously explained at length, now in this sūtra the words are concise yet the meaning is rich, the text is succinct yet the principle is detailed; because such subtlety had not been previously taught.
