論曰：此下第二總定所說。總定六決非病是藥。於中有二：先定非病、後定是藥。初中亦二：審問、定許。問中言法相如是者，總領前說六分法相。言內外者，識內境外故。言二眾者，境智眾多故。言非集者，非集生死雜染患故，非如惡取空還集諸患故。

The commentary states: Here below is the second [major section], definitively concluding what has been said: definitively concluding that the six resolutions are not a malady, but medicine. Herein there are two: first, definitively determining that they are not a malady; second, definitively determining that they are medicine. The first also has two: examining the question, and definitively assenting. In the question, 'the characteristics of dharmas being thus' gathers together the previously stated six divisions of dharma-characteristics. 'Internal and external' means that consciousness is internal and objects are external. 'The two hosts' means that object and cognitive acuity are manifold. 'Not an accumulation' means that it does not accumulate the faults of the defilements of saṃsāra, and it does not re-accumulate various faults like clinging wrongly to emptiness.
