3.40

經曰　「善男子！是法非因非緣，智自用故，非動非靜，用性空故；義非有無，空相空故。善男子。若化眾生，令彼眾生觀入是義，入是義者是見如來。」

The sūtra says: "O good son! This dharma is neither cause nor condition, because cognition acts spontaneously; it is neither moving nor quiescent, because the function's nature is empty; its meaning is neither existence nor nonexistence, because the mark of emptiness is empty. O good son! If you transform sentient beings, cause those sentient beings to contemplate and enter this meaning; one who enters this meaning sees the Tathāgata."
