3.80

經曰　「長者！用是大用，復有三大事：一者於三三昧，內外不相奪；二者於大義科，隨道擇滅；三者於如慧定，以悲俱利。如是三事成就菩提，不行是事即不能流入彼四智海，為諸大魔所得其便。長者！汝等大眾乃至成佛！常當修習勿令暫失。」

The sūtra says: “Elder! In applying this great functioning, there are further three great matters: first, regarding the three samādhis, internal and external do not rob each other; second, regarding the sections of the great meaning, one chooses cessation according with the path; third, regarding wisdom and concentration in accord with thusness, one benefits simultaneously through compassion. Such three matters accomplish bodhi; if one does not practice these matters, one will not be able to flow into that ocean of the four cognitions, and will be caught by the various great māras taking advantage. Elder! You and the great assembly, until becoming buddhas, should constantly cultivate and practice [them] and never lose them for even a moment!”
