The treatise states: This is third, his own presentation of the correct apprehension. As for 'knows phenomena are not [seen by] the dual views,' because he knows the Dharma of the middle way is not what is seen by understandings of existence and nonexistence, he immediately leaves behind the second inverted error of 'having no sun.' As for 'nor relying on the middle to abide,' although he leaves the two extremes, he does not preserve the one real middle way to abide in it; thus he immediately leaves behind the first delusion of the 'wheel of hairs' and the '[mirage] water.' Having thus left behind the faults of those two extremes, based on the non-abiding expression of the Buddha's teaching, he comprehends the expressed purport of non-abiding; hence it is said, 'therefore from non-abiding he apprehends.'
