The treatise says: This clarifies that for the sake of others, he preaches the profound dharma to all. "Sentient beings who can be saved" means that among all sentient beings transformed by the Tathāgata, there are none who are not the transmigration of the one mind. "Only the single taste is preached" means that among all the teachings spoken by the Tathāgata, there are none that do not cause entry into the taste of the single awakening. It intends to clarify that all sentient beings are originally of the single awakening, but merely due to ignorance they transmigrate along with dreams; following the Tathāgata's teaching of the single taste, there are none who do not ultimately return to the source of the one mind. When returning to the source of the mind, there is nothing attained; therefore, it is said that the single taste is precisely the One Vehicle.
