一釋十住名，即辨來意。十者數，住者不退位也。何故來？正說故。

First, explaining the name of the ten abodes, which analyzes the purpose of occurrence. "Ten" is a number; "abode" is the stage of non-retrogression. Why does it occur? Because of the proper exposition.
