The fourteenth bodhisattva of the practice of inexhaustibility is an elder named Amṛtaśiras (Ganluding), who enters the teaching-gate of the wish-fulfilling treasury of jewels of merit. First is the exhortation and instruction; second, from 'Then Sudhana' onward, is progressing and entering in accordance with instruction; third, from '[He] answered, saying' onward, is directly entering the dharmadhātu. The first text has three [parts], as before. In the second, advancing and entering in accordance with instruction, the measures of faith are seven: first, taking leave; second, recollecting; third, arriving; fourth, seeking; fifth, from 'seeing Amṛta[śiras]' onward, seeing the appearance; sixth, the ritual of respect; seventh, expressing the intention and asking for instruction. In the third, directly entering, there are three [parts]: first, praising the generation of the mind [of bodhi] and the ability to ask; second, from 'You see my...' onward, explaining the teaching-gate of his own lot; third, from 'All the great bodhisattvas...' onward, deferring to the superior stages. Within his own lot there are four: first, revealing the teaching-gate in terms of his retinue, which has three [parts] that can be known; second, from 'I have achieved...' onward, clarifying the essence of the teaching-gate; third, from 'In accordance with what they require...' onward, clarifying the great function of the teaching-gate; fourth, with 'I only know this,' concluding with the name of the teaching. Within the great function there are four: first, the manifold jewels and so forth, clarifying the two forms of gathering: wealth and Dharma; second, from 'Wait a moment' onward, clarifying the sentient beings to be transformed; third, from 'looking upward' onward, revealing the receptacle of empty space yielding inexhaustible wealth to gather [them]; fourth, satisfying their wishes and returning to the source. The deferral has three [parts]: general, particular, and concluding.
