11.2

第四校量勝分。菩薩住此中勝三乘故。前初住及安住已說過小，何故至此方說勝耶？釋云：菩薩諸行，是事皆過。前是初住及正住過，今地滿勝，故亦辨過。如小乘見位無此勝德，今此不同，故顯殊勝。然此勝相略說三種：願是標志遐廣、行是依誓造修、果是當位行成就。

Fourth, the section on evaluating superiority. In this, the bodhisattva's abiding surpasses the three vehicles. Previously, initial abiding and securely abiding have already stated superiority over the small [vehicle]; why is superiority stated only upon reaching this point? The explanation states: All practices of the bodhisattva surpass these things. Previously it was the superiority of initial abiding and correct abiding; now it is the superiority of the completion of the bhūmi, hence superiority is also distinguished. Just as the stage of vision in the Hinayana does not possess these superior virtues, now this is distinct, thereby demonstrating exceptional superiority. However, these characteristics of superiority are briefly explained in three kinds: vows are vast and distant marks of intent; practices are activities created and cultivated relying on those vows; fruits are the accomplishment of practice corresponding to the stage.
