Fourth, regarding that which is realized, according to the Saṃgraha, one realizes the dharmadhātu of undifferentiated continuity. Vasubandhu's commentary states: "It means that herein the essence is without difference, not like the eyes and so forth which differ respectively according to the individual continuity of sentient beings. If one knows in this way, one is able to enter the fifth bhūmi." Asvabhāva's meaning is the same. The Liang translation has a slight difference: in that treatise, it explains that this dharmadhātu can make the continuous bodies of the buddhas of the three times non-different. The Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi speaks of the 'tathatā without difference among the five categories', meaning that this tathatā has no differences among categories, unlike the eyes and so forth whose categories have distinctions. The explanation is: on this bhūmi one cultivates and attains the path of the non-differentiation of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, and through this understands that tathatā is neither self nor other, attaining an equal mind. The Madhyāntavibhāga says: "By thoroughly penetrating this, one attains the pure mind of ten equal intentions."
