18.42

四示處者，有四句：初三賢未證散在諸處；二地上證真生在佛家，故多佛眾中等；三地後起用亦散隨緣；四普賢表因圓剋果，亦在佛所。

Fourth, concerning showing places, there are four points: 1. The three worthy [ranks] have not yet realized [the truth] and are scattered across various places; 2. Those above the bhūmis realize the real and are born in the Buddha's family, hence they are mostly among the Buddha's assemblies; 3. Those after the bhūmis give rise to functions and are also scattered according to conditions; 4. Samantabhadra symbolizes the fulfillment of the cause and attainment of the fruit, so he is also at the Buddha's place.
