18.83

第五仰推勝進中，初一句總、次五句別顯行體無礙、次「於一切諸方」下明行用自在。然諸文仰推有二類：一即於自己法門之內更有深細，非己能知，即如此文及前位等；二推異類法門非己能知，如前第三住中推菩薩戒等。上下諸文皆此應知。第五住竟。

Fifth, in looking up to and deferring to the supreme progression: the first clause is general; the next five clauses separately reveal the unimpeded essence of practice; next, from "in all directions" onward explains the mastery of the function of practice. However, in all texts, looking up and deferring has two kinds: first, right within one's own Dharma gate there are further depths and subtleties that cannot be known by oneself, just as in this passage and the previous stages, etc.; second, deferring to Dharma gates of a different category that cannot be known by oneself, as in the previous third abode deferring to the bodhisattva precepts, and so forth. Throughout the passages above and below, all should be understood like this. The fifth abode is completed.
