4.32

四釋文者，此光所照隨處無限，大約總數有二十五重，前九別說、後十六同辨，則為十段。此中非是二十五度放光，亦非一放光次第漸照二十五處，但一放光則並頓照同時顯現，以引機入法令漸覩見自近及遠故有次第。

Fourth, in explaining the text: that which is illuminated by this light is boundless in accordance with each place. In broad total number there are twenty-five tiers: the first nine are explained individually, and the latter sixteen are discussed together, thus making ten sections. Here, it is not that light is emitted twenty-five times, nor is it that a single emission of light sequentially and gradually illuminates twenty-five places. Rather, a single emission of light illuminates simultaneously and manifests all at once; yet, in order to guide faculties to enter the Dharma and lead them to gradually observe from near to far, there is a sequential order.
