三宗趣，亦二：初會宗，亦二：先約人，謂化主及助化各有體相用，約住準之；二約法，謂十住教義，義中以平等法界為體、十住行位為相、應教所詮為用，教中以六決定為體、十住不同為相、益機為用，相即無礙，準上思之。二品宗者，以嚴處請佛，如來赴感為宗。

Third, the central theme and purport also has two parts. First, the theme of the assembly also has two parts: first, in terms of persons, the master of conversion and the assistants in conversion each have essence, characteristics, and function, which should be understood by analogy with the abidings; second, in terms of the Dharma, it refers to the teaching and meaning of the ten abidings. Within the meaning, the equanimous dharmadhātu is the essence, the practice and stages of the ten abidings are the characteristics, and responding to the teaching as signified is the function. Within the teaching, the six determinations are the essence, the differences of the ten abidings are the characteristics, and benefiting receptive capacities is the function. Their mutual identification is unobstructed, which should be contemplated following the above. Second, the theme of the chapter: taking the adornment of the place to invite the Buddha and the Tathāgata's responding to the resonance as the theme.
