Fifth, within the section on the exposition, the explanation of the ten practices has two parts: First, the fruit part, which is identical to the equality of the ocean of nature and cannot be spoken of; hence it is not discussed here. Second, the causal part, which is spoken in accordance with conditions and has four levels: 1. Speaking solely in terms of the practices of the comparative stages, as explained in the Renwang jing, Benye jing, etc. 2. Explaining solely the Samantabhadra practice of intrinsic essence, as explained below in the 'Chapter on the Practice of Samantabhadra'; this does not depend on stages. 3. Expounding the practice of intrinsic essence in accordance with the stages, which is just as explained here in the prose. 4. Integrating the stages to accord with the perfectly interpenetrating practice of intrinsic essence, as explained in the verses below. Now, within the section on the exposition, only the latter two are distinguished. Within the text, there are two parts: first, explaining the ten practices in this one world; second, from 'thus' below, explaining the ten practices in the worlds of the ten directions. Because this one exposition implies all expositions, they are combined as a single text. Within the former, there are two parts: first, directly distinguishing the ten practices; second, the quaking of the earth, etc., which manifests the marks of the benefit of the exposition. In the former, specifically explaining the ten practices forms ten sections. In explaining the first practice, six gates are set forth:
