Seventh is the unattached practice, gathering all roots of goodness with a non-abiding mind. Furthermore, through compassion and wisdom mutually guiding each other, it is skillfully without abiding or attachment—the practice of non-attachment. Non-attachment is practice, which is indeed the upāya pāramitā, taking subsequent wisdom and compassion as its essence. As for its varieties, there are two; the Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi says: '1. upāya of dedication, 2. upāya of rescuing.' Below there are ten kinds, as can be known.
