Second, the verse summary contains twenty-five verses, divided into five parts: First, one verse summarizes the previous essence of practice, repentance, and so forth, but only summarizes the virtue of the practice of rejoicing. Second, nine verses from 'the three times' downward summarize the previous dedication to bodhi and sentient beings. Within this, there are three: first, four verses summarize the adornment of the buddha-lands of the three times above: 1. learning the Buddha's adornment; 2. gathering the Dharma's adornment; 3. revealing that which is adorned; 4. concluding that it is identical with the Buddha's adornment. Second, four verses from 'those true sons of the Buddha' downward summarize the bodhisattva human-jewel adorning the lands above, wherein the first verse summarizes being born within the Dharma gates; the next verse summarizes superior karma possessing body and speech; the last two praise superior virtue, which is also the superiority of mental karma. 'Never thinking' and so forth refers to the above text's 'buoyantly pure and unmixed' and so forth. Third, one verse summarizes the above purification of enjoyment, which is also the purification of the fullness of Dharma, making sentient beings accomplish buddhahood and possess the Buddha's teachings, hence called a buddha-land. Third, two verses from 'the ten directions' downward jump forward to summarize the fifth conclusion above of the accomplished virtues. Within this, the first two lines summarize subduing all māras with majesty above; the next line summarizes being indestructible by all the world above; the next line, 'definitely cultivating' and so forth, summarizes practice without equal above. The next line summarizes the great vow being fulfilled above; the next line, 'dedicating merit' and so forth, summarizes the accomplishment of non-retrogressing merit above; the next two lines generally summarize the deep and vast retribution of the accomplished virtues. Fourth, five verses from 'well able to observe' downward summarize the third dedication to the ultimate reality above. Within this, the first verse summarizes directly dedicating to the ultimate reality above, and also summarizes not falsely grasping karmic retribution within the realized benefits, while the remaining four all summarize the realized benefits; the next two lines clarify the existence and non-existence of form and mind, which summarizes not clinging to mental karma and karmic retribution above; the next two lines summarize not grasping the conditioned and unconditioned above; the next verse summarizes not destroying cause and effect, not grasping existence and non-existence, and so forth. In the verse from 'all sentient beings' downward, three lines summarize saṃsāra not being chaotic above, and the final line, 'the buddha-lands are also like this', can also summarize nirvāṇa not being quiescent above, as it is analogous to the emptiness and suchness of worldly phenomena, hence it says 'are also like this'. Fifth, eight verses from 'bodhisattvas knowing thus' downward summarize the fourth part above of generating goodness based on the preceding and again dedicating it. Within this, the first verse summarizes the ten kinds of inexhaustible roots of goodness obtained above; the next two verses summarize directly accomplishing the ten kinds of dedication with the previous roots of goodness above; the next five verses summarize the marks of benefit of dedication above. Within these, the first two [state that] false views are already extinguished; 'abandoning' and so forth refers to 'the eyes never see impure buddha-lands' and so forth above. The last three verses summarize not seeing sentient beings of different marks, meaning that sentient beings conform to nature, leaving behind existence and non-existence, being equal and without difference. The fifth dedication is finished.
