8.17

上來位行竟。自下第二明位果中有十六句，二二為一攝為八對：一斷染果，謂伏魔怨止惡緣也，拔欲刺斷惡因也。二入證果，謂無生道修證因也，到無二正證性也。謂理絕能所故無二也，智契彼法故云到也。三「得無量」下成益生果，謂道法救生、神通化物。四「常樂」下寂用無礙果。五「悉能」下明行願廣大果。六「分別」下智通殊勝果，先智、後通。七「得無礙」下明見聞自在果。八「修諸」下行修具足果。下結可知。

The stage-practices above are completed. From here below, the second clarifies the fruit of the stage, wherein there are sixteen phrases, grouped two by two into eight pairs: 1. The fruit of severing defilement, which means subduing māra-adversaries and stopping evil conditions, and pulling out the thorn of desire and severing evil causes. 2. The fruit of entering realization, where the unarisen path is the cause of cultivation and realization, and arriving at non-duality is the correct realization of nature. That is, because principle transcends subject and object it is non-dual, and because wisdom accords with that Dharma it says "arriving." 3. From "attains immeasurable..." onward, the fruit of accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, which means using the Dharma of the path to save sentient beings and using supernatural powers to transform beings. 4. From "constantly delights..." onward, the fruit of unimpeded quiescence and function. 5. From "fully able..." onward, clarifying the fruit of vast practices and vows. 6. From "distinguishing..." onward, the fruit of superior wisdom and superknowledges, first wisdom, then superknowledges. 7. From "attains unimpeded..." onward, clarifying the fruit of sovereign seeing and hearing. 8. From "cultivating the various..." onward, the fruit of complete cultivation of practice.
