9.17

四起分中四義內，初二是本入所為、後二是今出所為。初事訖者，審理故、儀則故；二得勝力者，受加故；三說時至者，機熟故；四定無言說者，要須言聲故。餘同前釋。

Regarding the four meanings within the fourth section, on emerging [from samādhi]: the first two are the reasons for the original entering, while the latter two are the reasons for the present emerging. First, 'the matter has ended' refers to having investigated the principle and fulfilled the proper decorum. Second, 'having obtained superior power' refers to having received empowerment. Third, 'the time to speak has arrived' refers to the maturation of the capacities [of beings]. Fourth, 'the samādhi is devoid of verbal speech' refers to the essential necessity of spoken words. The rest is the same as the prior explanation.
