Third, regarding the distinction in terms of cultivation: the first seven are the beginning of cultivation, the next two are the ripening of cultivation, and the final one is the accomplishment of cultivation and the attainment of the fruit. Furthermore, from the moment of initial aspiration prior to the bhūmis, one generates these vows, and upon ascending to the first bhūmi, the cultivation of the vows attains fulfillment, as distinguished in the Liang treatise and others.
