First, with regard to the sūtra: as for being bound by production from causes and conditions, it means that in this dependent origination, they mutually bind and abide so that it cannot be production; because it is this bondage, it is also not cessation. Using the single word 'bondage' seals this essence of phenomena as free from all conceptual differentiations; however, because the mark of bondage in dependent origination is also transcended, speech is deployed to reveal it, hence termed 'the explanation of bondage'. This is to clarify that this bondage exists only within verbal explanation; this gate reveals the phenomenal marks of dependent origination bordering on the exhaustion [of marks] where the principle-nature is about to manifest in an extremely subtle place. The treatise says that by according with and contemplating conventional truth one enters absolute truth; this is this gate. The explanation of the text can be known.
