In the third, seeing, paying respects, and making requests, there are three: first, seeing; second, paying obeisance; third, observing. Making requests is omitted, because the principle and dharma reside in the person, so having seen him, there are no requests. In the first part, there are two: first, from 'saw where his body resided' onward, reveals the bodily marks, in which there are two: first, 'light universally shining,' etc., generally clarifies that the body's light is profound and vast, meaning it accords with the dharmadhātu of principle and pervades the dharmadhātu of phenomena; from 'all suns and moons' onward, specifically discerns twenty kinds of body-clouds with mastery, in which the first eight are bodies responding to capacities to gather and transform, the second eight from 'approaching the places of Buddhas' onward are bodies responding to dharmas to fulfill practices, and the third four from 'leaving behind blazing' onward are bodies responding to principle with equality. Second, from 'Sudhana saw' onward, is paying obeisance, recollecting, and observing. Third, from 'toward the good spiritual friend' onward, because of observing, he attains superior states of mind: first, general; next, specific; finally, the conclusion. In the specific section, there are ten minds; all first mention the name of the attained mind and then explain the meaning of that mind, which can all be known.
