Part 8, "Praising Virtues through Pore-Lights," has two sections: first, the pores and lights of all Tathāgatas and so forth are the Buddhas who conferred empowerment above. Praising Samantabhadra's virtues reveals that his preaching of the Dharma is endowed with virtues, causing the assembly to revere him and give rise to thirst and longing. This is the above wisdom of light, praise, and sound. The twenty-four verses are divided into two: first, eight praise Samantabhadra's vastness, with his three karmas exhausting the Buddha's source and depth. Therein: the first three are body; the next half is speech; the next two and a half are mind, wherein the first one and a half are samādhi, the next one is wisdom, and the next two exhaust the Buddha's source and depth. The latter sixteen praise essence and function as universally pervasive, unobstructed, and responding to capacities. Therein, the first one is the pervasion of essence: Samantabhadra's body sits in this assembly, yet in each and every one of the boundless worlds of the ten directions he is seen constantly residing there; originally in his proper place, his body is not divided, nor is there coming or going. In all dust motes and in the bodies of all sentient beings, it is also like this; because sentient beings and so forth are identical to suchness, they are Samantabhadra. In reality, the One Vehicle Buddha-lands are likewise completely pervasive along with Samantabhadra; taking up what is superior and easy to understand, lands are put aside to focus on principle, relying on the Three Vehicles to reveal the One Vehicle, as can be seen upon reflection. The latter fifteen clarify function: 1. manifesting the body, 2. manifesting the Dharma, 3. pure vows, 4. sentient beings, 5. manifesting wisdom.
