第四表示法者，然說法之佛，總有四位：一羅漢身佛，表說小乘。二化身佛，表說三乘，廣說地前、略說地上。三報身佛，表說三乘，廣說地上、略說地前。四十身佛，表於一乘，六位齊說。由此所說具足主伴無盡法故，佛亦同此，十身無盡。

Fourth, expressing the Dharma: the Buddha who expounds the Dharma has four general positions: 1. The Arhat-body Buddha, expressing the expounding of the Hīnayāna. 2. The emanation-body Buddha, expressing the expounding of the triyāna, broadly expounding prior to the stages and briefly expounding upon the stages. 3. The reward-body Buddha, expressing the expounding of the triyāna, broadly expounding upon the stages and briefly expounding prior to the stages. 4. The ten-body Buddha, expressing the ekayāna, expounding the six stages equally. Because the Dharma expounded therein is the inexhaustible Dharma fully endowed with host and retinue, the Buddha is likewise identical to this, inexhaustible in ten bodies.
