二明說經緣者，一切經首說時方人等，皆是緣起。今有十緣：一依時、二依處、三依主、四依三昧、五依現相、六依說者、七依聽者、八依德本、九依請者、十依加者。

Second, explaining the conditions for expounding the sūtra: the time, place, persons, and so forth mentioned at the beginning of all sūtras are all pratītyasamutpāda. Here there are ten conditions: first, relying on time; second, relying on place; third, relying on the host; fourth, relying on samādhi; fifth, relying on manifested signs; sixth, relying on the speaker; seventh, relying on the listeners; eighth, relying on the root of virtue; ninth, relying on the requester; tenth, relying on the one who empowers.
