初來意者。前說緣既具，此下正陳所說，總明果相、別答法界安立海問，故此品來。

First, as for the reason for its occurrence: previously the conditions for preaching were already complete; from here on, what is preached is directly set forth, generally clarifying the marks of the fruit and specifically answering the question regarding the ocean of the establishment of the dharmadhātu, hence this chapter comes.
