12.23

第三以偈讚述，文分二別：先因、後偈。偈中分三：初一標益體用；次八顯用所見，於中前七見因、後一見果；三一偈發願思齊，即前品初修治大願也。

Third, praising and reciting in verse, the text divides into two: first the cause, and then the verses. Within the verses there are three parts: first, one verse indicates the essence and function of the benefit; next, eight verses reveal the function that was seen, within which the first seven see the causes and the last one sees the fruit; third, one verse makes vows with a mind to emulate, which is the great vow of cultivation at the beginning of the previous chapter.
